Quick Answer: Can You Still Play the Demo?

No. The demo was removed from Steam on August 3, 2026 per the official announcement, ahead of the 2026-10-20 launch. You cannot download it anymore, and there is currently no announced plan to restore it after release. The full game replaces it on launch day.

What the Demo Contained

The demo let two players test the core formula: the asymmetric walkie-talkie setup and a slice of early puzzle content set in the Norček facility. It served as the series' launch-on-three-platforms rehearsal — the same demo window fed the PS5 and Xbox versions. Content creators' full demo playthroughs remain online, but treat their puzzle solutions as demo-era artifacts: the launch build is not guaranteed to match.

Demo vs Launch Build: What May Differ

Demos are cut from work-in-progress builds, and Total Mayhem Games used the months between the demo windows and launch to tune difficulty and content. Puzzle rooms, symbols and solutions seen in the demo may be changed, reworked or expanded in the full game. Our walkthrough policy reflects this: nothing is published as a launch solution unless verified in the launch build, and demo-era solutions are clearly marked if we reference them at all.

If you played the demo in April: consider your microphone and communication habits as the transferable part. Specific puzzle answers are the least likely thing to carry over.

Demo Videos Still Online: How to Use Them

Full demo playthroughs from content creators remain watchable, and they are the only way to preview the game before launch. Watch them for the communication dynamic — how two players describe clues to each other — rather than for solutions to memorize. If you do watch, prefer recent uploads and check the upload date: early April videos predate the Next Fest build, and Total Mayhem Games patched the demo between windows.
