What Is The FriendShip?
The FriendShip is the first of the Expeditions spin-offs — short, standalone co-op puzzle bites released between mainline entries. It trades Castle Rock for a tropical setting and is built to be finished in a single sitting with a friend, with a friendlier difficulty curve than the mainline games. At our October 19, 2026 check it is also 75% off on Steam ($3.99 → $0.99), which makes the entry-price test even cheaper.

How It Fits the Series
Expeditions entries are self-contained: no Castle Rock lore homework required, and nothing in Tomorrow depends on having played them. They exist to let two people test their communication habits cheaply — which makes The FriendShip the natural warm-up pick for a partner who is new to the whole series, before either of you commits to a 15-hour mainline game.
Should You Play It Before We Were Here Tomorrow?
If you have never played a We Were Here game and want the cheapest possible test of whether the co-op puzzle formula clicks for the two of you: yes, this is the gentlest entry point. If you already know the formula, skip straight to Tomorrow — the Expeditions games are snack-sized by design.
